Some WAV files not loading on Ren

I'm loading WAV files that I previously used in Battery. Most of them load, but a few of them show that they're loading, but when i assign them to a pad I see the name of the WAV, but there's no sound. Also when I click on sample edit the WAV files aren't showing up. When I select them and play them on my computer these same WAV files play fine. Anyone else experiencing this or know a solution? Thanks

Are the files that don't sound... different sampling rates? 44.1khz vs. 48 khz for example? I don't own the Ren, but this is an important factor if I were to buy one, or Studio. I hope that's not the case... That would be a bummer for me.

I think, on hardware based mpc's, it needs to be 44.1khz...

Sorry if I was no help to you, but can someone answer my question regarding sample rates and the Ren software?

Which samples are causing you problems? I am a Battery 3 user and have all of its samples on my dedicated drive for the Ren.

Hardware sometimes have the same problem make sure that .wav is at the end of the sample as the extension especially on a Mac. I came about this after editing in my editor and then transferring to my 4k. I get my Ren tomorrow so it should be the same.

The name of the WAV/sample is 04 Drum Loop 79 bpm. I'm able to play,see, and edit it in Battery 3 as well as go to it in finder on my mac and play it. When I grab it and slide it to a pad on the Ren I see the name of it on the pad and even when i open sample edit, but there's no waveforms there nor does it make any sound when i press a pad or autopreview it. There are about 5 or 6 files that it's doing this on. They all have the .WAV extention on them btw... Thanks for you guys help!!!

Just a guess but try and shorten the named of the sample to like
DL4b78.wav or something simple!

Open 1 of the non working wavs with an audio editor, save it under a different name.. Try loading it with the ren.
Some apps bend the rules when writing wav headers.. I suspect this could be the issue...
...Definitely send the non working wav to akai either way.

I changed the name of the WAV file to a shorter filename and it still wouldnt produce a waveform or audio when i loaded it in the Ren. I loaded it in PT and bounced it down to a stereo wav file with the same name and the Ren loaded the converted bounce. I'll send the file that the Ren wont play to Akai now. Thanks Jah and SZR

I've had problems loading 24 bit wavs, can't make heads or tails of it though

Where do I send the WAV file to Akai? I had Dan's business card, but cant find it... If anyone has an email address where to send the file I'd greatly appreciate it

I also had a similar problem, and managed to solve it with Audacity.
I exported the file as .aiff

Converting the file into aiff format is not a long term solution....This is a bug that should be fixed on akais end....
It's a matter of a few minutes work for them to fix it...
So make sure to send the original non working wav....
dropbox.com is a nice way to upload stuff like this.... gets around email attachment limits.

It is located in a folder in my library I use for Battery...
