When in sample edit:

1. pressing window while having the "end time" selected give you the option to auto find the loop, a la MPC4k and Z-series samplers. Same goes for the start time.

2. The option to cross fade loop.

3. Implement all the sample options of the Z-series.

4. Option to create new program from the sample assign window.

I've posted on this website before. I just want to make it clear what is the most important feature for me and that would be a grid editor on the MPC Renaissance screen on the hardware, just like they have it on the MPC 2500 and other MPCs. The idea with the Renaissance I thought was to blend hardware and software together. Why would you not include a grid editor on the hardware screen. That's the main reason why software users decided to buy the renaissance. The grid editing window on the software screen on your computer screen has very limited non DAW features. It is absolutely absurd that the grid editing features of MPC 2500 has the DAW features that software based producers want and need which is to be able to know the exact tic position of a midi note and the ability to move a midi note or a group of midi notes to the exact numerical tic position desired, yet the Renaissance does not have this. I might as well bought an MPC 60. Akai has been using this feature on older MPC models for years. Just put the dang gone feature on the Renaissance. Absolutely ridiculous that this was not in version 1.0, yet it's featured on the MPC 2500, MPC 4000, and MPC 5000 from the get go. Such crap.

I think you mean step edit on the mpcs for numerical editing. Grid edit is in the computer screen.

I agree with you. I want the step edit to come back.

The ability to setup custom templates for automatic QLINK assignment to fx and instrument plugins.

Rather than it only auto assigning what the QLINKS control...

I'd like to see track and pad names reflected on the hardware in mix modes.
We already have the LED rings for quickly checking levels etc.. it could also change from the name of the track to the value when you move a control for more precise setting but still able to reference what track you are adjusting quicker.

To help users with connecting keyboards and knowing the keyboard is connected correctly.. Ableton live had this.. I was shocked to see it didn't have it

even the mpc 2000xl has a MIDI input monitor, to see what channels midi is currently coming in on.

In the upper right of the Ren's LCD there is a track status field. When you strike a pad or a connecting keyboard, the indicator should change. Is this not happening?

i don't see it i'm posting a vid on youtube now that explains all my problems that really is only getting my usb keyboard to play the plugins like the bank

Sample start parameter like on the 4k so you can vary the start time of a sample.

Would like to see akai go further with this up the range of that parameter so it can be set to anywhere along the whole samples length, that would be very very very cool.

Also loop lock with the above would give u granular synthesis! like on the 4k
