2gb and 4gb Sandisc CF cards wont load or format

i thought they would be ok after FAT32 formatted in windows XP but these cards are worthless in my 500. The weird thing is i got a 68 mb Sandisc card that does work.

So wich 2GB cards are recommended for the 500?

No, they have to be formatted within the MPC500 so they can be infected with the Akai.

these 2 cards cant be formatted within the MPC. The red "do it" button doesnt light up when i try to format so that means the cards are not compatible.

im trying to find out if there was a topic on this before with the recommended card brand or type, or ill just look for Kingston type II cards on ebay, they gotta work.

SanDisk and Toshiba are what I use, never a problem.
