Do the effects work in other DAWs such as Nuendo/Cubase, Pro Tools, Logic, Studio One, Digital Performer, Sonar, etc? The fact that it works in Maschine is not relevant as it is also a NI product.

Just tried it on a return in Ableton Live 8 and it works just fine. Don't have any other DAW.

I'm getting this as well, if I'm hitting the pads rapidly, it's not lighting up approx 10% of the time.

Is anyone having loading and saving problems? I cannot pin it on a specific bug but I've saved program's and then loaded them up again and my snare had been replaced by one of the long unused samples and then my snare is no longer in the "project pool".
Anyone else had any loading/saving problems?

The pads definitely don't light up 10 percent of the time. I thought it was the hardware but if you look at the 16 pads in the software, they don't light up either.

In song mode, the Ren is not reporting the proper sequence tempos. Also, it's not calculating the total amount of bars for all the sequences combined. However, when converting to song mode, the tempo is correct. Song mode, however, is working perfectly. Just the calculations are off. This is on an i5 MacBook Pro with 10.8.2.

Hey hellfire, just out of interest does it work flawlessly when you convert all of that to a new sequence?

Yup! The tempos are even correct after conversion. It's just reporting it wrong in the song mode screen.

I still have more bugs I found and need to record. But it's hard with no power and tethering internet off my father-in-laws iPhone. This 40 second video took over 30 minutes to upload. Lol! Can only hook up the Ren at certain times. Running off a generator.

Ok here is one if someone can tell me if they have this problem. when i goto the browser to load drums i go to my drum sample folder(which has about 6000 files in it), my cursor gets stuck at the top. if i use the wheel or mouse to goto another sample then it will click on it and the highilght will go back to the top of the page. it wont move off the top sample. if auto play is set to on then you will hear the sample that you navigate to shortly then the sample which is at the top of the list will play and cut it off. i will upload a video if youdont understand what i mean because i just re-read what i wrote and i wasnt that clear.

Ive got a strange feeling this has goto do with how many samples i have in the folder.

I see that Song Mode is reporting sequence tempos off by .1 to 1. This is a bug.

But the calculation total amount of bars is not a bug. The Ren's Bars param simply displays the number of bars for individual sequences; they are not added together. This is how the MPC 4000's 'Bar' param performs.

However, the JJOS has Bars and Total Bars params.

I would add this as a feature request if it is important.

MPC Software Version : 1.1
Operating System: Windows 7 (running on bootcamp Mac os)
Macbook pro: i7 4gig Ram

Bug : Browser on autoplay causes rex files works fine for a while, then after about 10 or so files, causes overload CPU and output (but no sound plays).

1) Press Browse Button
2) Locate Rex Files
3) Press Auto (Autoplay)
4) Scroll through Rex Files
5) After a playing a few files, Overloads cpu and output (no sound plays)

No it doesn't.

'Bars' param in both the MPC 4000 and the Ren does not add up the total number of bars. What you displayed above is a param that doesn't exist in the Ren....'Start Bar'.

MPC 4000s 'Start Bar' simply displays the bar at which a Step (Sequence) will start. JJ OS has a Total (Bar) param which displays the total number of bars in a song...which is different than what the MPC 4000 does.

Not having these options are not bugs as I indicated earlier.

The "Now" field clearly tells you how many bars are in your song. It's just a case of having half a brain and scrolling down to where it says "end of song" to find out. Or alternatively as in the example given, where it says "Start Bar" at the end of the sequence (in this case bar 21), it's fairly rudimentary to work out that there's 20 bars in the song.

Presumably the Ren doesn't offer anything like the JJ or 4K way of displaying it. Another unacceptable omission.
