Hello,

I got me a new MPC, new from shop, LCD isn´t good
so i have to do now my upgrade that was planned for later.
anyway wanted a black LCD

now, i´m used to my old MPC1k, the black one with the old pads,
not played yet really with the new MPC with the new pads, but they seem to need korx anyway to fill that gap that shouldn´t be there  .
feels like sh.t for now as far my experience goes with my new one.

so my questions:
to what i understand is the double triggering of the old pads one reason that people make pad/sensor upgrades, right ?
I often like the doubletriggering, it happens mostly when i need it
So i'd like to still have good doubletriggering options plus like to get a very smooth feel. My style is smooth
I´m not hammering hard on my MPC, i often just play the MPC pads quasi like a Piano, just pressing with fingers

smooth feel, more control over velocity, and good doubletriggering would be my goal.
what Pads do i need. does it has to be the extra thick ones ?

within same thickness, do different colours differ in feel ?
what would you recommend me when you read this ?
any help much appreciated. MPC is just becoming my main workhorse

When you say pad sensor calibration, are you talking about the pad sensitivity/curve settings?

I have the older blue/red 1000 with the old style pads and really have to pound the mofos even with the sensitivity turned to max but I'm still able to do what I want to do for the most part.

I can imagine it would make a helluva difference if I did the pad upgrade.
