my guy bought that special edition. I never really understood the color scheme. but he replaced the pads with black ones and it looked lot better.

i think lamp had that orange 2kxl and changed the pads as well...

As much as I don't like the Steelers and I hate that damn Wiz Khalifa song, black and yellow where the 2 colors I thought of when I read the topic.

I think it was this one or the orange one that looks like someone threw up skittles all over it. :lol:
If I remember correctly I think the pads glow in the dark.

i never saw the yellow bacon pads.

im pretty sure lamp kept his bacon pads, he said they feel the best quite a few times on here.

you should do it gunmetal grey with black everything else.

No idea if they were ever sold in yellow, I think that maybe the MFC42 wasn't actually released until July 2001, so the yellow version might have been a pre-production version made up to match the MPC2000XL-SE2 for trade shows and other marketing, and maybe never released to the public?

Akai MFC-42 analogue filter unit, circa. 2001. Designed to go with the MPC2000/XL and even came with special brackets and wiring loom for the MPC. They also came from the factory in blue to match the blue 2000XL. You never seen one?
