[HELP] After Backlight Replacement - 5 Pads Don't Trigger !

Got the same problem!

Just changed my mpcs backlight and now pads 4, 8, 12, 16 don't work. Has any1 solved this problem?

sorry to hear it happened to you .
Run a test if the dead pads trigger midi notes
in the edit program screen, than hoock up a midi keaboard
to your MPC and see if the keysboard triggers the samples
assigned to the dead pads.
let us know the results.

Hello, im planning to replace the pad sensor on my 3000. Im a bit nervous about the process. Do you just pull out the ribon cables connected to the pad sensor plate? - I dont want to damage anything.

Any advice you could give would be really appreciated!

No, you slide the black part holding the ribbon cable forward gently which will release the ribbon from the control board. (pictured below) After you gently pull the ribbon out the control board then you can yank the sensor sheet off the aluminum plate.

What about the 3 cables that need to be removed before you can get to the whole pad-sensor board? - Do i just give them a pull, or is there more of a knack to removing these too?

Good for you! Where did you buy the solder less backlight?

Edit: Oops didn´t see page 2 of this thread..

To me it seems like a problem with 2 backlights draw to much power and make the MPC unstable, remove the old one and solder the new one!

Those just pull off. Hold them by the connectors and you could kinda wiggle them off easily. Becareful and Have fun!
