quick question on accessing the hard drive

Greetings! I'm a rudimentary new user of a 2500/JJOS 3.16 machine, having a problems finding the hard drive on this box. after mode/load>load screen I see the memory card and CD drive but not hard drive. perhaps its toasted? thanks for any advice

if you can´t access the harddrive on the load/save screen then there is either no hd installed or not yet formatted. or it´s broken. or not installed properly.
