Does anyone Know What anyAudio Exciter is?? Who makes a good Brand of Audio Exciter?

you can add highs or lows to your mix that don't even really exist; I think that's the only thing that seperates an exciter from an eq.
I use my behringer exciter (which is surely not the best) every time I record a beat cause I like the clear highs it adds.
but as ddot said; it wouldn't be too high on my priority list if I didn't own one already....

Don't know if this will help but check out BBE 482i sonic maximizer.

Well, that BBE thing is also available as software and i use it all the time. It's a good tool to bring dull sounds alive, and i even use it for mastering sometimes. I'm not sure how it works, but djrespect is right: it doesn't sound like eq at all.

I didn't know the hardware unit was that cheap either.... If you don't already have a lot of ways to inprove your sound, this would be a smart buy.
