Wuts up fellas? Been on hiatus for a min... Haven't used my MPC in a while but I'm back at it! Ii still remember how to use it but after I lent it to my partner I have been having an issue when trying to record sequence and convert it into a song. I know u line everything up in song mode with the number of repeats and what not go to record screen select main out hit record and play! The problem I'm having is that it keeps repeating the first sequence and not playing the song through! All loops are off!Is there a setting or something? I never had this problem before. Appreciate the help in advance.

Despite what you said above, it sounds like the Loop setting on the Song page is set to ON.

You can set this to affect however much of the song you want to loop. Sounds like you have it set to just the first Step.
If you turn it off, it will play the whole song.

i have it to off... how do i check to make sure its not just set to step 1 to repeat? when in song mode, the entire song will play but when i go to record it only repeats the first step? im confused.. like i said i have completed plenty of beats in it's entirety and never ran into this. maybe i am missing something very simple. i appreciate your help.

You can't record your song via the main out as far as I know. As mentioned, you have to convert it to a sequence first.
