Hi, im planning to buy a turntable and a pair of speakers with intergrated amplifiers. But how do I connect the turntable into the MPC 1000?
The speakers im planning to buy is: Aktimate Maxi, but im not really sure about a turntable yet.

You'll need some kind of phono preamp for the 1000, basically something that amplifies the phono signal to line level. Probably the most common way to do this is via a DJ mixer, but you can also get dedicated stand alone pre amps plus you'll find them built into many standard recording mixers.

turntables come with manuals. depending on what model you get, you may or may not need an additional pre-amp... most the turntables noobs get nowadays are those portable or usb type ones that are of lower quality but do not require additional equipment and can be connected directly to the mpc or whatever... higher end turntables are going to need a preamp in order to connect it to your mpc.

this is basic stuff... very easy to find on google.

use a dj mixer as preamp or buy a standard phono preamp. again something i usually pick up at the thrift store.
google 'phono preamp' then click the shopping tab.

Yeah I forget it's not the 90's. I'm sure if a lot of us took a hard bump to the head we might actually think it is the 80's or 90's with the gear we favor. :lol:
