To do this you would need to have some way of routing the audio otherwise you'd end up with a MIDI track and an audio track separate from each other.

I think you'd need a completely new kind of program/track that combines MIDI and Audio but still references the VST in the rack rather than having it loaded on the track

The way I suggested is how C*base does it.

well, reaper and every other major daw does it this way!

Yes, and make sure your mac audio/midi set-up is set to soundflower not built-in output.

When I use Global Program Editing (or ALL) to edit all zones, the values should all move according to their currently set value, not all move to the same value. For example, if I have a Kick at level 110, Snare at 98, Hat at 127, and a Crash at 119, and I want to lower them all evenly by, say, 50 points, they should all reduce by 50 from their current value. So if I move the Kick parameter to 60, the Snare should be at 48, Hat at 77, and Crash at 69. Instead, all values for all 4 drums move to 60 and any little mix you had going on get's ruined!

won´t happen. the ren "hard"ware functions as a dongle.

How about just being able to play beats.

I'm sure these have already been mentioned but here are my immediate gripes after only 1 hour spent on the software:

- sample level is at maximum by default, how the hell are you supposed to compensate low level samples???

- a view meter in program mixer would be nice (like in track mixer)

- have a "slim" mixer view of some kind so people on a 13" macbook can have full view of the 16 tracks. this is especially annoying due to the fact the ren mixer section doesn't support gesture scrolling

- add zoom trackpad gesture support

- add an "eraser" mode to the draw options

- individual bypass switch for the 4 insert fx

THESE ARE ALL BRILLIANT SUGGESTIONS!!

The one i want most is the lack of ability to compensate low level samples!

Cheers!

Hold down 'Alt' button on your keyboard. This turns the pencil tool into an 'Eraser'.

cool, that's at least one thing to scratch off the list!

is there a way to hide the browser from inside the app or at least resize it?

also would be very helpful to have detected BPM of a loop displayed in sample edit

To hide the browser, press the little triangle button at the bottom left.

When using the Step Sequencer, button F4 should audition the currently selected pad. Also, you should be able to tap the Q-Links to audition your current program as if they were pads in normal sequence mode. The bank button would bank the sounds as normal!
