The way MPCs work to include the Ren is to set a MIDI Port, MIDI Channel, and Program number for each track. These are independent settings. When navigating to a new MIDI Track, the MIDI Port will default to the last MIDI port used, Program Off, and MIDI Ch 1.

Is this what you are seeing?

Anyone having sync issues? When I'm working on a busy project in logic 9.1.5 mac os 10.6.8, ren os 1.1 and the mpc won't pick up the bar positions accurately and starts playing at the wrong position. It's also locked up on the same project causing the logic project to take forever to load with the spinning wheel- you have to manually open the plugin window to get the mpc to reset itself but it's then still of sync..

This happens quite often for me! Software still works, but the only way to get the lights working properly again is to close and relaunch the app.

Also, Jah, is it a bug that the sequencer stops when you press LOAD to load a sound to a pad? Or is this by design?

The sequencer stops when loading is by design. Feature request to change this has been previously submitted.

When I select more then 1 note and try to dubble click to remove it, it dosent remove it, only with single notes.

Can you guys also state the OS you are running.

I hope they change that, because I find it pretty anoying.

[BUG or dev mistake]

Each sequence copy adds a Duplicate of the VST and Cpu load increase quickly.... Such a shame ... it's Pathetic

I Hope it will be fixed . A project of 20 sequence and 20 U-he Diva Instance will freeze the computer or burn the CPU.... LoL

Exemple :

Open a new project, open 809 on track01-Seq01, copy the first sequence twice and look at the program list : 809, 809-1, 809-2 ..... WTF AKAI ? Do the devs are music composer and\or VSTi User ?

I Hope it will be fixed, otherwise, VSTi compatibility will become useless when sequencing on MPC software...

I'm working on a Windows7Pro x32, up to date, built and tweaked by myself, software is on a SSD... sample are on a RAID0... Everything OK with Cubase and Huge Heavy Project. Directly mixing my production without bouncing to wave...

I Feel like robbed by AKAI now ^^ But I love the way to work with the Ren on only sample-based production... and i'm a patient customer.

It happen EVEN for each Track copy or when assigning the plugin to a new track....

WHY DUPLICATE ? VSTis are such and still useless on the REN for now...


One Instance should be usable on multiple track and multiple sequence.. like MIDI tracks in a DAW... More CPU Friendly and btw more logic.

Erase key should be used for that... but not implemented in software for now...

Why not a real toolbox for track editor with copy, paste, duplicate, transpose, etc ?
Curves and Lines for Automation, Right Click Delete for Automation subtrack should be nice to... WTF AKAI DEVS !!!! You forgot Right Click menu ? ^^


And the same for the song editor should be Great.

The number pad dont work on alot of menys like Program change, Midi chanel etc.

In midi mode, the program tab dont change back to the original number of the track, it always goes back to the previous tracks number, only on the hardware, not in software. if u hit the window button it changes back to the original, but then all the other ones to, and so and so.

In the T.C window the number pad dont work.

Also the T.C window Events, Selected function is a litte bit buggy to me. its moving all of the notes even if I select one
