What is best way to transfer MPC2k Zip Disk files to MPC4k?

I tried searching this but I couldn't find anything in the results.

I have a set of really nice MPC2000 (not XL) Zip Disks, and I want to get these sounds onto my MPC4000. '

How should I approach doing this? Would a SCSI Zip Drive work? Can I load the disks onto my PC and transfer through Ak.Sys without destroying the file structure of the Zip disk?

Any help would be much appreciated.

via akasys imo, the MPC wouln't read correctly an all prog&sound file from my xl untill I did it though the akasys..dunno why..

but isn't there a danger loading MPC2000 zip disks into a PC? I thought it erased the root directory structure. This is an MPC2000 zip disk, not a MPC2000xl. I'm not sure if that makes a difference though.

akasys reads your MPC2000 zip via usb through the mpc4000 SCSI

you never have to connect a zip to your computer, but you might know something I don't, all I can say it was hassel free proccess in my case, but that's a 2kXL,.. dunno be safe first make a backup, its always wize..

I have sounds on zip disk that I made when I had the mpc 2000, and when I purchased the mpc 4000 I loaded them in the 4000 using a scsi zip drive and they loaded fine, some of the sounds were samples I made and some were pro kits I bought and transfered to zip using the 2000. so I was able to keep and use all my kits from the 2000 and also I onwed a 3000 which loaded fine as well
