Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000
By sd-cd Thu Nov 01, 2012 5:19 pm
Thank you Guys.

That's why I asked about them (MPCExchange) in the 1st place, not about sensors directly.

sd-cd wrote:Hi,

Does anyone know them?
I need the pad sensors for my 4000.
Are MPCExchange new in the "business"?

Thanks
Adam

No that was 'MPC World'. I'd not heard of MPC Exchange until sd-cd posted this topic.

neither had i... and that site looks sketchy to me.

how does a no-name website offer pre-orders on upcoming akai products?? ???

i'd buy stuff on ebay before buying from a site like that.

Good deal on the pad sensors.

mpcexchange.com $49.95 + $5.95 shipping (outside US)

mpcstuff.com $70.00 + $20.00 shipping (outside US)

Total = $55.90 outside US @ mpcexchange Vs $90.00 outside US @ mpcstuff

Will keep an eye on this site as a potential supplier of sensors.

Hi Adam

Can you confirm which manufacturer is printed on the sensors?

is there any difference or anything that would tell?

Don't know if there's any difference, just interested to know which ones they are, as it's just my understanding that the Interlink sensors have not been manufactured for approx 4 or 5 years.

Very strange indeed. Interlink has not made those sensors in about 5 years. When we approached them (Interlink) originally to re-make the sensors when Akai discontinued them, they were not interested as the orignal designer of those sensors worked for another company. I could be wrong, but I assume what this new site has is some NOS "New Old Stock" that they got somewhere, if they are new. New old stock are usually parts that are new but sat on a shelf somewhere for a long time before someone realized they had value.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, and yes we may be a bit more expensive sometimes but we offer NEW top quality products with TOP support including warranties, replacements and support. Any questions regards to price please feel free to email us directly.
