What interface does the programme use? How do I get audio in and out of my computer using this software

Example would be mpc + triton :)

yeah, you can use that, but there are other sound cards that are better. CEP can only record 2 tracks at a time anyhow the L and R inputs (near as I can tell, no ASIO drivers or nothin' like that)

so any 2 input soundcard will work.
There are some nice midiman, like the audiophile, that has RCa's tho and I like 1/4 inchers so I dont gotta buy any funky cables.

Echo Mia (or darla, im not certain which) is a nice one and has a break out box w/ 8 inputs.

if the tascam works w/ cep I guess it could be good. I dont own one though.
I dont like protools, but there are a million digidesign employees on here who can big up it to you.

motu makes a nice sound card esque device or two.

basically what are you trying to do with it? this is the most important thing to ask.

The Echo Mia is 2-in/out. As for CEP, im pretty sure you can multi-track record. I haven't done it but all you do is go View > Multi-Track View > sync MPC, set tracks on the MPC, record.

i have an mpc / triton and roland juno. want to use my mpc as sequencer.
so i would use the cool edit pro to track into and mix with. my mpc and keyboard playing is sloppy so i want to be able to move stuff around in cool edit pro and tighten it all up.

will it do this??

the mpc will tighten up your playing, turn on the quantize.

Im thinking that CEP2 can record more than just two channels....
But Im in the process of testing it out right now.
