Just take it as a general rule of thumb not to tick off people when your asking them for help... He was trying to clarify something to help you. But you wanted to be cool instead..

Is the electribe running its own sequence or ARP. That or you have not muted every channle and one might be hidden on bank D that you have not muted, just saying, it happens. Or the device before it might be sending out not through, that is another thing to watch out for. Make a blank sequence right, just hit record, then stop for two bars and turn on loop. Now go play your sequence that will not mute, then change to blank sequence...... This will tell you what problem is. If it is still playing electribe when on a blank sequence then it is not mpc.
Unless another sequencer is going through mpc like. probably user error and you just have the ARP on.

have you tried it with the electribe midi'd up directly to the mpc without going through the ms2000? does it mute then? process of elimination...

Yo, good to see you figured it out there. I like the MS2000 to, they are good.
And you did not eliminate yourself, so bonus.
