when i use my mpc with logic, i dont really use a master or slave setup, i use the mpc as the soundsource, and logic as the sequencer.
basically im just using the mpc as a midi controller with sounds already loaded into it, instead of using it to control the sounds in the DAW.
i guess you could argue that im using the mpc as a "slave," but im not syncing up via mtc or locking timecodes or anything like that.
im just having my chops in my mpc, then hooking up via midi to logic, and running my audio outputs to each separate track and at the end, recording them to audio.
when recording the audio from the mpc, there is no need to sync via mtc, you just have to move your scrolling cursor in logic to before the first bar and click record from there. once it gets to bar one your computer will have had enough time to "sync itself" up and record the audio to your audio tracks.
