MPC4K, K2600xs, MTP AV usb & Logic 9

Ok...so for the particulars:

I am using and MPC 4000 (as my main, initial sequencer)
my midi router is the MTP AV USB
my main keyboard (used for its sounds AND triggering Logic sounds) is the Kurzweil K2600xs
and Logic 9 is my DAW (used initially as a sound module - successfully set up according to a $12 MPC/Logic tutorial: works well)...BUT

When I set up the 4K thru the MTP (4K Midi outs 1&2 to MTP in 1&2 / MTP out 1&2 to 4K in A&B) and Kurzweil k2600 midi i/o to MTP i/o channel 3 I cannot get the GODDAMNED midi from channel 1 in logic to stop playing when I try to select sounds from the Kurz....I can do this successfully (true 32 ch. of midi by connecting the kurz directly to the 4k's midi i/o -but I am not using the MTP as it should be used: considering I need to add a Korg oasys to the setup, etc. and be able to route without repatching cables) - WHAT AM I MISSING? WHY WONT MIDI CH. 1 STOP PLAYING??? Is this some "Environment" foolishness that I need to (*gasp*) tweak??? WTF??!?!! Help - It's been a few days...Oasys is on the way too.....

I use clockworks to do my patching...(works too)....to be exact, what is happening is when I select and audition sounds from the Kurz ("midi B" on the MPC) it still plays (or cancels out) data from midi A (Logic / Kontakt) along with the kurz sound(s) instead of JUST playing Kurz sounds...(the mpc will do this easily if I connect the Kurz directly to the mpc {midi i/o #2/B}

Seems as if I have to share midi channels 1-16 when using the MTP as the patchbay instead of having "1-16 A" and "1-16 B" like I do when I connect the kurz to the MPC (midi A) and logic/mtp to the MPC (midi B) - the notes from logic are still triggering when ONLY the notes from the Kurz should be sounded....

I've read this about five times now and I don't have any advice that I can give. It just sounds like you have managed to make your setup more complicated than it needs to be, and this is preventing you from identifying the source of your problem.

If I were you, first thing I'd do is take it back to basics, and simplify the midi routing scenario. With an MPC4000 at the heart of your studio setup this should be an easy task. Your setup sounds complex, but maybe my interpretation of your words is responsible for that. Sometimes a simple diagram is worth 1000 words. Maybe someone else can decipher your setup, maybe even you lol...
