How to purge "all unused" samples, not "all unassigned"?

Sup folk. As the title states, tryin to figure out how to purge all unused samples from a program, in the sense that even if the sample is assigned to a pad, but not used aka no notes with that sample/pad and others similar were recorded can purge them all in one go?

unfortunately not possible yet. was requesting this function before.

Why not just un-assign the samples then purge?? that is what I do. I just highlight main screen where is shows sample name, hit pad to select program sample, and hold shift as you turn jog wheel. This will remove assignment then purge.

Yup. this request works require a process that looks at every one of your sequences and every pass cell of your programs to see if you note has been recorded...or it would have to add a parameter to each sample to detect wherever or not it has been not only assigned to a pgm but also recorded in a sequence...it is better to just do this manually. try not to record pgms that are packed with sounds, instead just choose wavs one at a time from load. it is a better practice.

Yeah, there's no way a feature like this could always work how you'd like it to.

There's also the issue of after doing this "all unused purge", all the programs would then contain the broken pad assignments, which would clutter things up.

Better to just do it manually.
How many "unused" samples would you have, anyway, that this tool would be useful?

I like to load a lot of sounds at once to have a larger variety of sounds to work with when composing a beat from scratch. I don't sample (currently) so I need this variety. What happens though is I'll load like 5 different programs (drums, hihats, snares/claps, random sounds, synths/pads) all stacked from pad 1-64 then by the end of the process I'll have only used like 5 of the drums 5 of the hihats 5 of the snares some sounds and 5 of the pads so you see I'm left with a lot of baggage.

It would be a real PITA to have to go back to the load screen and scroll through the 10,000+ samples I have just to find a sound I want to add in to the beat.

Also wish we could play a recorded sequence simultaneously as while in the Load Screen that way a sound could be tested during playback to see how it sounds and if it would fit with the beat instead of having to stop playback, load sound, assign sound to pad, etc.
