MPC 3000 - affordable case option!

If anyone's interested, I found recently that the hard case for my Pedaltrain Jr pedalboard (im a guitarist as well) fits my MPC 3000 PERFECTLY. Like a glove. They're great cases and very affordable compared to a lot of custom alternatives.

So FYI if anyone is looking for a solid case

Personally I'd like some thicker foam around the edges for impact resistance, but thats just me...

It's very solid. I wouldn't put it under a plane or anything, but it works for solid protection in a car when transporting other big gear in heavy cases.

Nice case.

I have a 60, it's a little bigger I believe and I wanted an SKB style case. So I recently got the SKB 3026. A bit bigger than needed, about 4-5" extra room per side/edge, maybe overkill, but it's the closest "mixer style" case I can find (flat/shallow box..like a keyboard case). Picked it up locally for $50.

They're usually priced really hefty on eBay ($200+); but if you keep looking everyday, you will eventually find someone willing to let it go for durt cheap (not to mention there are less outboard/hardware producers and more digital/laptop nowadays).

Another very nice alternative, is the SKB 19-P12. Much smaller than the 3026 case and it would fit a 60/3k very snuggly and more neatly. However, I wanted more space in between the case's sides/walls and the mpc itself..so I went with the safer (albeit much bigger) route - 3026.
