Use the LPF. Definitely the way to rock a good bassline on the MPC. Pitch down a lot. Or record a live bass into your DAW when you track out. Or program a synth bass in your DAW and resample. Sync the MPC to a keyboard and use a module sound. The possibilities are endless! But for me LPF and pitching down is always a fave! Sub bass is so raw!
