I bought right as OS 2.0 dropped so It seems the batches right around then or after then were good to go.

Same here and I haven't had any issues with mine. I have to admit I've been busy with work so I don't have as much time to work on it as others. But can honestly say in 2 something years I haven't had it freeze up on me.

I never heard of dude either, so I looked him up.

His opinion as a pro musician has equal value to anybody elses I'd suppose. The people who really matter are not even listening at this point. Just Blaze did his rant when it could still make a difference...

the article wasn't really aimed at the 5000, it was more or less a footnote in the article. He was just saying that he thought it was garbage. Everyone has different feelings and experiences with gear. Either way, dude is a dope musician. part of the dilla lineage.

Totally agree. The article was not at all about the 5000. I just found that portion really interesting. I surely think the 5000 is like the picked on kid in the room. when all else fails **** with that kid to cover for your short comings

and to be fair. i dont think it matters much. I actually admire K Riggins as a beat maker and straight up musician. Plus he's got "Dilla Cred" so to speak. he is really a dope cat. Tours and Plays drums in Diana Krall's jazz band.
