These 2 programs were obtained by my staff, through espionage.

These are Hammond Organ Samples, set up to work like a Hammond inside the MPC 1000.

In the "Hammond Bass" Program, you have access to the bass tones generated by the Hammond's foot pedals as well as some surprise sounds I found inside the organ by smacking it.

In the "Hammond Main" program, each bank is cut in half vertically, with the lower 8 pads loaded with the standard Hammond Organ sounds laid out chromatically. The top 8 pads are the "Harmonic Repeater" keys that Hammonds are equipped with. You use the top 8 pads by holding note repeat and holding the pad. This causes the sound to cycle in sync with your BPM with a repeating harmonic and sounds quite a bit like the real thing. (It's a sample of the real thing, but in order to get it to cycle properly, I had to freak it a bit). HINT: Try using the Harmonic Cycle Pads with the Q-Links set to alter #1 Tempo, and #2 Filter.

Let me know what you think.

De Nada Amigos.

It's a pretty awesome thing that we can create our own custom instruments inside this box and share them with a community.

Also, I'd like your opinions: Is it better to share your sounds and have faith that you can freak your own programs better than anyone else, or is it best to keep sounds to yourself? I would like to see the internet foster the downfall of elitist digging. I would like to see an era where all sounds are shared and the pride in digging is finding sounds/ building sample programs And Bringing them Back to the Community. Much like hunter gatherers. Look what I caught.

I know it's a cool feeling to know that you have an awesome sound set that no-one else has, (and I certainly have a few in the arsenal that I'm not ready to leak) but just think what kind of awesome music would arise if we all had access to mass amounts of Ready Made programs for free. I would love to see a searchable database containing strictly MPC 1000/2500 .Pgms created by users. If it were divided by Operating System that would be sweet. I would ask the moderators to sticky a thread if it had a good number of programs for download.

I Know I know, MPC-Samples.Com sells sample packs so that might cut into their business, but I can certainly make a solid endorsement for their "Guitar Pack" and both of their their "Bass Packs", I bought both and use them a lot. Mostly to layer with grimier sounds for texture. Very clean and well laid out. They can give a bit of clarity to heavily crackled Vinyl samples.

Anyway, I was just thinking along the lines of SoundFonts, but strictly for MPC users. That would be sweet. If anyone knows about such a site, drop the knowledge. Or, if you want to do some .Prgm trades, PM me.
