The trick with replacing sounds is they can't be longer then the sound you replace. They can be shorter but not longer.
So most guys replace a kick with a kick, snare for a snare.....
I read the article on the sp forum site a while back.

that is quite neat... so is it some sort of .wav file or something that is stored or what? and is there a particular way to have files span across eproms?

also, I have heard of people with sequential circuits drumtraks that contain linn eproms.

Here's the info I read a while back.

Haven't received it yet. but as far as I know there arent any upgrades. then again i dont know. what i do know is OS and that the backlight needs replacing.

its OS is the 2.something so I will likely upgrade it with the 3.10 software update chipset. Needs backlight... checked out non solder one for $30 or so. exchanged email with the backlight guy today. lastly i plan to get one of those floppy emulator drives.

Still a good deal. :smoker: The bible thread in the 60/3k section should get you going.

Peace.

Congrats on the 60! :D I'd like to get one myself (but who wouldn't?)

+1 on the solderless backlights, cheaper than the alternative and Matt is a cool dude. You won't be sorry.

Yeah. I can vouch that. He lives about 5 miles from me. I went and picked up a backlight (for an s1000) off him personally and had a pint with him.
