With 2 different songs on the MPC, how do I(Motif related)

change the multi setups in my Motif when I change sequences....

I know how to change sounds, but I want it to automatically change multi setups too....Is this possible???

for instance for sequences 1 & 2, I have multi number 14 running, and for sequences 3 & 4, I have multi number 15 running.... so, how do I get it (multi in the Motif) to change by itself when I switch from sequence 1 over to sequence 3......



this is basically a "live" setup here, and I can't figure out how to do this.....

you need to send a bank select and a program change message from the sequencer, if you are in multi already then changing the number after program might take you to the next multi, but you may have to send the bank select to keep you in multi.

I don't know the further details of this, If I wanted them, I'd look in the manuals.

You might wanna try doing a sys ex dump from the Mo for sequence1/multi1 and then another for sequence2/multi2(basicaly the same thing elmacaco said but this will save all the settings in the Mo on your MPC), you might get a bit of delay this way but you can filter out any unnecessary info in the dump that you feel isn't necessary, might help if you do get latency problems .

yeah, you have to dump program messages to the mpc sequencer. What you do is basically put an extra measure into your sequence, this measure is at the beginning of the song. then insert them in there.

i forget the details, as ive done this before but never really got use to it.
