I changed the title, so it makes sense now

Says it all really.
I think you will agree this small but very useful idea will really improve workflows and live playing. As is it seems broken, for want of a better word, at the moment.
In this case it is a static choice, ie foot switch 1 or 2 can be set to select a Pad Bank say for instance D. So if you choose to change to another Bank, say Bank D by foot switch, you can not go back to the original bank you were on, or any other. In fact another tap of the foot switch does nothing at all, so then becomes redundant, and makes you stop playing to change back.

IF the option of 'CYCLE the Pad Bank selected by foot switch' was implemented it would allow ANY and ALL Pad Banks to be selected hands free very quickly with just a few taps of the foot. Set it to cycle so it would just go to the next adjacent Pad Bank, then from D to back to Pad Bank A, and around and around again and again. It opens up Sets much more with hands free selection of Pad Banks as you use pattern to pads, as well as chords, sample banks ect when playing. It means I can select any, and every Pad Bank as I play, quickly with out having to have to stop playing. That makes sense right?

Its great idea that seems very resource friendly tweek but opens the who thing up like no tomorrow, you gotta see that. It has to be, for the love of all that is JJOS make this small tweek happen by saying hell yeah, that would be good. soon. please, that would be great.

I just wanna bang stuff out, go to variations and then back again with patterns as well thrown in, so i am needing all the banks, as well as the ability in chord mode to bounce around keys to come back to the beginning again.

Next time you stop playing to change banks, think about this thread, and how this would let you select any and all banks with out having to stop playing.

Going to bump this also as it is a feature I would like to see implemented.Skeptical of course in the current state of O.S.

I am a skeptic to TYPO, but.......... To ye of little faith, there is hope.

You are with me on this, you get it. And that is encouraging for me because if more users read this thread and get it to, we should have every user asking for it, then they should do it.
We really should push for it, as it is a minor tweek of a function that is already implemented, so not a big deal or a major rewrite. But it would so be of a major benefit to us, and EVERYONE, as it is now it is half broken.

It would seem such a benign change, but in fact it opens up the MPC live plays potential twice as much. Never would I have to stop playing to change banks again. All 64 glorious pads at a tap of a foot. So like I said before, next time you users stop playing to change a bank then stop and bump this instead.

By the way a foot switch cost $20. It is a very cheap thing to get, and just for the overdub punch in punch out you should have one. ie set this way you never have to stop playing to record and stop recording as sequence plays. Its the bomb this way to, so lucky we have two then. come on fam, get behind this we need it, and it will benenfit
every user a lot more than they realise.

My feet are busy during live play so a footswitch is of limited interest. I'd rather have a real punch in and out feature for recording.

Well its a real punch in / punch out if you do it with a foot switch. And of course if you can't play with your feet live, then use this, and other features, in your studio. You can thank me later
Seriously its a very good punch in / punch out set up Footswitch. I can not live with out it. I use punch in / punch out every day. I NEVER have to stop a sequence playing EVER. I have it looped and with a foot tap I am recording on a track, then another tap to stop the recording but not playing, all while the sequence plays non stop in a loop. So its a very real punch in / punch out set up that works great.
What are ya feet doing then ? sustain pedal or something?

Yeah it would be nice to be able to cycle through the different banks with one footswitch.

Strange requests but I'd be happy if pads 17 to 64 and FULL LEVEL could be triggered with footswitches :smoker:

For instance to launch B1 with my foot I have to press footswitch 1 to go to bank B and press another footswitch to trigger pad1, not handy at all.

I am going to bump this again as it is a non macro/non button feature and only a slight variation to make the foot switch a full function in what is essentially crippled.

Well this would be the icing on the cake in OS3 I think, and since they seem to be on a roll, why not bump this again and pray it might happen to fix it and make it work a lot better than it does now.
