i LOVE this thing. way more intuitive GUI than kontakt.
this is NOT a rompler, does not come with huge libraries.
i use it for loading/slicing loops that i don't want to use in my MPC
also sweet for live stuff as it is stable and low in resource use.

consider ponying up for the pro version, it's 26 bucks and just fantastic.

that's where I no longer consider it free... I mean, even kontakt has a "free version" ..

I would rather head over to pirate bay and get a free full version (of a program or pluggin) over downloading a free non-full version.... but still, cheers for the thought.

i've actually only used the free one so far. the free one is not crippled. i don't know if it exports slices yet.

also, supporting a developer like this guy is always a good move.

these are the features added in the full version:

Per-group switchable hi-quality sample interpolation
Built-in FX don't need, has individual outputs
Matrix Wave Switcher / Editor
Configure triggering of different samples in a multi sample setup based on various attributes, such as MIDI Continuous Controller, Randomness, etc personally i don't get this deep into softsampler keygroup building
Simplify advanced layering and expressive sample setups with hierarchal mapping setups see above
Additional Filters don't need, has individual outputs
Insert processing
Advanced output management

yes, supporting is something I do agree with... but if it isn't crippled then that is not bad...

I dont mess with crazy softsampler keygroups and all that stuff either. Actually, I like keeping it simple... drop in a piece of audio and create a start point... or several if possible... done. I dont really care about slice exporting... because where ever I would export those slices would wind up getting the original sample before using 10 pieces of kit...

that is partly why I never liked the recycle/dr rex combo... using two things to do one job gets on my nerves.

that does look cool... there are some good options there for a simple down to the basics sampler. I think it would be great to have exactly that, but it would be cool if you could make a key of your choice (c6 for example) have it's own params and start point... like, if you could make a spread of one set of params across a few keys like the way it seems that you could judging by that wiki... but then you could make a key have it's own NDC and set of params etc..

not sure if you know what I mean...
