MPC 1000 - Midi file import length

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a limit to length of imported midi files in MPC 1000? I had a quick browse through the manual and couldn't see anything, and Akai's website leaves a lot to be desired

Here's the info that concern "midi file import length".

Sequencer Details:
100,000 notes resolving at 96ppq
99 Sequences with total 64 tracks per seq
20 Songs with total 250 steps per song

JJOS (par free versions) up events (notes) to 300.000.

I'll have to look into this before it makes complete sense

I'll want to load a mix of short midi drum loops and longer melodic midi files that could span the full track. I take it this is possible with the MPC 1000 as long we're talking average/common midi song content?

Totally, a single sequence can be 999 bars long. But more commonly you'll have multiple sequences so it's not a limiting thing here.
