95 percent of the time when I sample into the Ren using the physical inputs, 1/4 or spdif, doesnt matter which one, I get static on my samples. Ive had to resort to converting my samples to wav or mp3 and then dragging them in. Now and then I'll get a clean sample through the inputs but for some reason the volume on the new sample is so low the waveform looks like a flat line. I have to normalize to get any type of volume back.

Whenever I use MASSIVE as a vst, when I play on my midi keyboard, the notes sustain forever unless I press the panic, I think this was happening on a couple other vsts also but Massive is the one I remember off the top of my head. Oh and when I play the sounds on the pads it seems to be fine.

Either your Ren needs repair or you are not familiar with how to sample on the Ren.

You have to set the Mic/Line or Phono switches in the back and top of the Ren. Phantom power should be off unless you are using a mic that requires it. The DIRECT MON knob should be turned to INPUT. The INPUT MONITOR IN Sample Record should be activated. Then adjust the RECORD GAIN while watching the Level Meter on the LCD or MPC software.

Which why I stated there could be something wrong with your Ren or your sampling technique.

This has always happened. Holding shift to move the parameters in increments of +/-1 would be the solution if they added it as a feature.

I just spent all this time working on a beat and the damn thing won't even let me save. It's telling me I'm using illegal characters in the title I'm giving the project when I'm just using regular letters! I can't save the current program, sequence, nor project. All I can do is save all programs and sounds. So everything I sequenced is gone!

W7 SP1 x64 2.5 Q8300 4GB Ram.

If the name of your hard drive has a special character, you won't be able to save to it from the Ren. This also applies to anything along the saving path. At least this is the only way I can produce this specific issue.

This is retarded. I've never had a problem saving anything on my local hard drive with application ever. It must be "&" in the user folder name. Wtf?! We've been using that same windows user name on computers for over 10 years and now all of a sudden it's a problem for the MPC to save files there? You gotta be **** kidding me! This is completely unacceptable.

As long as you don't use symbols in the file path, you are good to go. This is as designed.

Here's what I was talking about a page back where I said the Samples Timeline isn't reading according to where the slice markers are lining up! I'm noticing this on W7. Haven't noticed it on Mac yet!

Also, you can see here that when I go to make the sample edit window full screen, the sample edit menus are staying on the screen. Noticing this on W7 as well!
