have no idea - but its ugly dude, it doesn't even have a front which means a load of dirt in your MPC

you might even end up with a family of mice living in your 3000.

Are you saying that it works, or are you asking if it works?

@ SEED78 - No enclosure, but solves the ACARD compatability issues if proven to work out of the box. I suppose a DIY enclosure would be a possibility, but also a drag...

I think I have read somewhere that it doesn't hot swap, but I might get one to test anyway.

Others seem to utilising empty chassis to mount bare card readers.

Any details of your install, pics, advice etc. would be much appreciated I'm sure.

Interested to know if you built an enclosure for the CF reader or went barebones...

thats really cool - would be great to avoid Acard issues.

do they not sell a version with a frontage? might be worth contacting the maker in japan to find out. might be a dope solution to make a internal harddrive full of useful sounds.

like everyone else wants to know, does it hotswap? also will it work with 3.11os or a MPC60?

It works as a hotswappable reader?

Or it works, but no hot swapping cards while powered on?

Non hot swappable.

Does the card reader have a manufacturer model or part number on it, the listing doesn't give up that information, and how about some pics bro? You started this MPC-forums malarky so you know how it goes with the sharing side of things lol...

Stratos Technology is the brand, CF AztecMonster is the model.

It is made by this guy...
http://artmix.com/

I just paid for one yesterday.

The guy that makes them said this in response to my question about whether they hot swap in Akai MPCs...
The Guy wrote:CF AztecMonster and AztecMonster II is not able for hot swap.

This card is available for AKAI samplers. Some CF or SSD maybe have
bad compatibility. It maybe required more slowly and little volume one.

Will possibly mount these inside the MPC, permanently, as well as replacing the floppy drive with a externally accessible reader.

The AztecMonster II is a SCSI-SATA bridge, I am going to test a couple of SATA CF readers as well.

@SimonInAustralia : Can you confirm that it work just out the box?
Have you got some pictures of the installation?
Thank you very much
