MPC controls modular gear with sampled CV!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surely thats a heap simpler than messing around modding your mpc or something?

I use a midi/sync for my mc202, works great dinsync from midi clock signal out of the mpc

good point with the midi/cv converter eventhough the thought isnt exactly new.
they've been around since the 70's you know..

an 8 channel midi to cv convertor will run you $600 and the resolution is still only 12 bits.

i've moved into my new home and my gear is out of storage at last.

great news -- i can use control voltage to control the korg ms10 with the mpc1000. it's brilliant.
i downloaded the samples posted on in this thread to use for cv. some of them i cut up. i assigned them to the four individual outs and plugged them into the initial gain, cut off frequency, the vco freq, and the trigger in.

i'm getting some great sounds and it's so good to have the synth so easily synched up and controlled.

MIDI has been publicly announced 1982. Not exactly the 70's you know.

Anyway if it's not possible to use this for accurate pitch tracks there are many other applications. Plus you can use a quantizer when you have a modular system.
