you can try the mackie 1604cr ( analog mixer)
it works great with mpc2000xl particular sound grain
i worked too with a yamaha01v, and it was really great, cause you can progam an automix with the01v, by recording it on a mpc's midi track
no needs computers

Nah Im on Fruity Loops though. Even though my workflow within that prog is awesome, you can really forget to mix anything accurately in FL.
So I do need Cubase SX or Nuendo. SX3 is @711 €. But most of integrated
effects are bad, so I do need Reverb, Comp, EQ and so on from lets say WAVES. Getting the all the plugins you will find to need and you are way over 1500 € on your bill. And I don´t really feel comfortable in Cubase it´s
like stiff and overloaded on some aspects....
This is why I said that money wouldnt matter even though these SSL babes are way outta my reach. What Im really looking for is a good sounding, reliable mixing solution in the end. But to me it looks more more like it doesnt really matter what you kind of equipment you get when you start mixing cause as your (gear) experience grows you will have your favs and ideas what to use...[/quote]
