This thread is already 8 pages long, and I'm surprised to see that I'm the only one Korg Electribe owner here, so far!

Wow so many people selling sp12 and 60's if i had one dont think id ever let go of it.

Since switching to hardware samplers:

Roland S-330 (got it for 60$ with tons of disk)
SP-303 (was in need of $ so sold it)
Mpc2000xl

Rockin the Xl and s330 for drums for now maybe get another 303 if i can find a good deal. Mostly focused on getting a synth and maybe a nice EQ.

Yo peterpiper why did you get rid of the Hohner and get the Casio? They're the same thing but in different colors and name right?
By jimmie Sat Dec 08, 2012 3:08 am
Still own:
Casio FZ-1 x 2 (2000 - My first sampler. Great sound & filter. Love it for pads.)
Akai MPC2500 (2007 - Used to sequence everything. A powerhouse with JJOSXL. Lightning fast to work on.)
Akai S950 x 3 (Bought my first S950 a year ago and damn I am in love! :smoker:)
Akai S1000 (Need to test the filter and mod options some more if I'm going to keep it. I wanted to buy and try this classic though.)
Roland S750 (Had a few days. Liking the filters. Got a monitor and a mouse which seem to be essential.)
Amiga 1200 with GVP DSS8+ (2008 - Crunch & ring. Uber-aliasing 8-bit variable sample rate.)

Sold:
Emu ESI-32 (I liked the sound of it but I found the OS operations and floppy drive to be slow.)

Been wanting an SP1200 for years. My favourite-sounding sampler.... I think.... I've never even touched one.

If I had to pick two from those that I own it would be the 2500 with an S950. Seriously quick workflow on both, and the S950 sound's the bomb. My desert-island samplers.

@tapuno
Yes they are the same. The reason was a break in music making and friendship. Me and a friend had build up a studio together but at some point we couldn't work together no more. Too much differences. We both paid for the equipment so I took the DJ set and left the samplers there.

As the time goes by I realized that I really need a sampler to ease my mind sometimes :) I remembered the Hohner and its sound (knowing that the casio is the same) so I bought one.
