Broken MPC 60 - Suggestions?

Make sure you are getting 5v from the power supply. The regulator is SI-3052v. This is a common failure.

Ok, due to my work schedule i didn't had the time to check the MPC further.

As for the "test mode": there is a "test disk" for the mpc 60, but as long is heard only made for the OS 1 - 2.12

@MPCHunter: 5v coming in the inverter from the power supply? will check that out... i definately dont have more than 18V going to the screen... so i have to check if the inverter isnt providing more than that, or the whole power supply don't provide enough power for the whole machine (whcih would be more my guess).

Ok, as far is i can tell the inverter is fine.

Now i'm checking the main power supply. My problem is, i'm nat that familiar with the schematics in the service manual.
From the power transformator to the power sw i got around 10-15v going further, from there "only" around 4-5v going to the rest of the boards... anyone have a plan on what voltage the boards need?

You should get 3 voltages off the Power PCB, +5VDC, +12VDC, -12VDC

The MPC will need all of the voltages to work properly. All of the values are listed in the service manual in the schematics area.

Make sure the measurements you take at P601, P602, P603, P604, P605 and P606 are correct. If any are not, turn the power off the MPC, unplug it unplug P602, P603, P604, P605 and P606, power back on the MPC and remeasure. If any are the voltages are missing there, trace through the Power PCB to find where the voltage is lost.

Quick check result: P602 = 5V; P603 = 5 V and 14 V (?); P604 = same as P603; P605 = 5V; P606 = 5V

Tommorrow i will see if i can read the schematics properly to see where which voltage is needed... Service Manual PDF isn't the best to see/read but it's all i've got, so it has to work...

I had time to check further in the MPC.

As far as now, ich would say the pow trans isnt' supllying the right voltage.

But: I think i'm a bit stupid for metering.

So a newb question:

I got a cable coming from the power transformer.
Service manual say i must have the following voltages:

1 = AC 7V
2 = AC 7V
3 = AC 14V
4 = AC 14V
5 = not clearly readble, but should be GND = ground

If i use my multimeter and putting one contact on 1 (= 7V) and the other one on 2 (= 7V) i need to get 7V on my multimeter? Same procedure for 3 &4...
Right?
If yes: I got around 5V at 1 & 2 and 28V on 3 & 4...

i think you should put one on the ground... and the other on a positive lead (any)

Instead of spamming other peoples threads and diggin up old threads to reply to, continue with your own thread on the same subject. If nobody can help you just accept that and consider getting your machine serviced. No need to keep asking over and over again.
