Thanks for the welcome, i havent been to active on here, but Ive had a good time. I live in Tucson and nobody is around who uses mpcs. Its a shame.

I put on a techno gig years ago, one of the performers (8-bit) did an awesome acid techno set on 2 loads of an SP1200, so 20 seconds of sampling time for an hour set.


Whatever the storage medium, floppy/Zip/CF/HDD/whatever, none if it will last forever, all will fail sooner or later.

If it is important, make sure you have multiple copies, and at different locations if possible.

You might not want to lose your beats if your house burns down, for example.
