is out. Anybody else using it or had a look? I bought the upgrade from version 6, really was worth it. Some dope new features come with it, the mixing console for instance has a brand new layout with a lot of options for your personal comfort.

what´s your opinion?

I may upgrade in the new year.

I find 6 to be overly sensitive when navigating around the main project window with the Apple trackpad. Have they smoothed that out or do you just use a mouse?

In an ideal world they'd incorporate 'pinch to zoom'.

Like I was telling Coz, I'm not a Cubase user and likely won't be cross-grading to Cubase from my current software but this update actually looks pretty interesting.

Whatever happened to VST System Link though? I don't hear many Cubase users talking about this feature anymore or Steinberg advertising it. Is it an abandoned feature or impractical or something? I know several people using Logic Nodes, so in concept VST System Link definitely has/had it's potential benefits due to the — somewhat — similarity.

I was checking to see if anybody had made the upgrade yet and what your opinions on the new mix console were.

I'm still on 6.5, I tried the demo but I didn't have a ton of time to use it and my demo ran out.

Just wondering how people were feeling about it at this point. Is it stable? Is the mix console good once you get used to it? Better?

@ undertow, I think the System link is still there at least in version 6.5. I think you don't hear a lot of people talk about it because it requires two systems and two licenses for Cubase (because of the dongle). Not many people want to shell out that kind of money unless they are running a studio.

Oh, I see. So it's more like Avid's Satellite Link rather than something like Logic Nodes? I guess that makes sense then why it's not increasing popular. Thanks for the answer, Airyck.
