Was ordering an Ipad 4 tomorrow for V Control so I will check this out. So where's the case?

i'm sure it will be out soon, i guess they want some extra cash from ipad owners before the fly comes out.. or to see if its popular enough without the case before release.
i really thought that the software would come free with the mpc fly though?

I cannot say I'm overly impressed so far.

From quick look the kits are all so and so.

First time I tried to load a song to sample, the app crashed. When I got the sample to play the recording stopped after a predifined period of time. :hmmm:

The turntable "emulation" is fine and dandy, but why cannot I just load up a sample scrub the wave form and set cue points, then hit export to pads? Even with my XL which this thing was said to be emulating I'm able to do that.

So you can record a break.. but not chop it? Or well you can, but you'd have to record it multiple times... And why on gods green earth is there a time limit for the amount of sampling?

EDIT:
Hitting retry in the sampler window also crashes the app.

Indeed they did, I just got it out of curiosity.

I've tested it on ipad 3 with the lastest OS and so far it doesn't seem very stable.

Compared to other offerings for the platform like BM2 (even if we forget everything but the drum machine/sampler part) it's kinda lacking.

Try as I might I cannot find anything about the sampling time limit in the built in manual. Also being marketed as a MPC sampler app and having such limited sampling tools makes it more of a loop trigger then anything else (one chop per sample, really?).

Another reason we need "track explode" feature.

Not feeling this tbh wheres the 4 pad banks of sounds and it won't let me import songs from my iTunes Match music library due to DRM.
