how do I record track by track onto MPC 2000 xl using Logic

Usually I recorded my beats using a Korg Triton connected to a mpc 200 xl. I was able to record track by track i.e (trk 1 {MPC} to track 1 {KORG TRITON}) ect and when ready to record final beat was able to go to track mute and mute it track by track to compose the beat how i wanted. Now I'm using a MPC 2000 xl through a M Audio Firewire 410 to a Mac computer using Logic 9. I was wondering how do I use Logic 9's sounds on the MPC recording track by track into the MPC switching the track on Logic 9 to reflect the same track on the MPC?
Example..MPC (trk 1 midi 1 A) Logic (track 1) big break kit.
I can record that sound into the MPC.
But when I switch to MPC (trk 2 midi 2a) Logic (trk 2) electric piano...the beat i just made plays the beat but now its a electric piano sound. Im unable to seperate the tracks.
so how do I set up Logic and the MPC the same I had the MPC and Korg Triton to write a beat?
I've spent 3 long days searching Youtube and other forums on tutorials and nothing!!

Instead of writing a whole paragraph try stating what you are trying to do in a few brief sentences. Don't confuse the issue by talking about the Triton and describe how you have your MPC set up with Logic. Maybe then I can direct you to some helpful threads.

Ok....I have a MPC 2000 Xl running through a M-Audio Firewire 410.
M-Audio (IN) MPC (OUT).
I can recieve the midi sounds on the MPC.Can record a track of chosen sample into MPC on track 1 ,MIdi 1a.
Trin to record on track 2,Midi 2a on MPC from track 2 on Logic but track on MPC plays only track 1 meaning Im unable to single out tracks on MPC and Logic.
So how do I assign tracks on LOGIC and MPC?

hit open window on your mpc in the area at the bottom where you select which midi channel you are using. i believe it is an 's' you hit open window on.

it will allow you to set the mpc up in multi-timbral mode.
this is also in the manual.

i think your track settings in logic are not correct.
look at the left collumn of the track (if you not see it hit the "i" key) and look for midi channel. (maybe you have to filp it open to see that part)
set every track in logic to the same setting as your corresponding track on the mpc.
now play your sequence. does it trigger the right tracks now or just the first?
if it is just playing track 1 then you have to manually arm the record button on all tracks that should be triggered by midi signals.

also look around the forum for a thread named "using logic as a sound module".
