iMPC iPad app out now!

Now, for those who don't know Tabletop. Tabletop allows you to put multiple devices together (on a tabletop)... That being said, it looks like I can put 8 iMPCs on the table (no other devices can be added, though).




8 x 4 tracks = 32 track sequencer.

Not bad for $6.99 app (Tabletop is free to download).

I'll probably do an actual review later and maybe a song, too.


On another note, download the free DM1 apps today (iPhone and iPad). I paid for these apps a while ago, and DM1 is a favorite of mine, on the iOS.

I like it. It's dope. I made tight a little banger on it. Probably because of the limitations. Just took the tightest part of the record and got creative with it.

so made a beat on iMPC and tried uploading to soundcloud from within the app and it somehow silenced the entire middle of the track... so ummm

so I tried again... still silenced a section... ok... welll

Fun app, not a real means to sit down and make beats though. But then again, I never though it would be

I find no use for these sequencing/DAW iOS apps personally, if I use my iPad musically it's to Usally to create a sample using a synth/sound generation app. I would hate to make a whole track on an iPad..

Make sure and rewind to to the start of your sequence before you export.

And especially when they have a dedicated controller for it. But they like to gimp their iOS stuff cause they live in fear.

I thought we all knew that it only had 4 tracks. and it was going to only be a sketchpad for the ren and studio. It doesnt chop yet. would be my only problem.

When they leave off the chopping factor i begin to think the designers never really owned a legendary mpc.

But if 6 dollars is way to high of a price for some of you guys. just dont buy your rockstars for one day. bamb you have an application that u couldnt make or never had.

You probably wipe your ass with six dollars but I knew kids that got killed for such. Six dollars is a meal, a gallon of milk, a bag of reefer, a liter of gas, a quart of oil, going and coming train fare, bottle of asprin, a magazine, a birthday card, aftershave, a hammer, ballpoint pen, a record, a CD, a knife and most of all, toilet paper.

It's says MPC. If you need any more features than that you don't know WTF you're doing.


Beatmaker 2 pretty much snuffed this thing before ink was dry on the rebadge agreement.

We did! But you'd think with all the feedback we all gave about this nearly a year ago that Akai would not have released it with only 4 tracks! Has nothing to do with the $6. They coulda just made a better app and charged more money and people would have happily paid it.

Worth it for the sounds though?.it sounds bad though.

Its got the iconic workflow though haha.

Im sure a dust cover has the iconic workflow on the marketing sheet.

6 bucks (now) to be a beta tester saves you from spending $200 and a lot of frustration.

The Fly is vaporware and this is the final nail in the coffin.

Id actually buy this if it had more tracks then a fisher price toy.
