glitch when copying tracks

When copying tracks to different sequences via the edit menu in the sequencer i wont get the whole track. Lets say there is the same chop playing 3 times in a row it will only copy 1 or 2 or sometimes all 3. kind of glitchy anybody else experience this?

Are your notes quantized? If not you could just be copying the sequence before the next note is allowed to play, like if your copying bar 1-3 but your next note is actually one or two ticks into bar 4. If not I still have a few ideas, but it's more of an explanation not a solution.

Hmm i dont think thats the problem. right now i have a 2 bar loop and try to copy the whole 2 bars all the settings are right and for some reason it only copys the first note.

I just turned off the mp and turned it back on and its working properly now. Its not the first time it does this to me should I be getting worried? Maybe updating the OS could fix it?

This is what your gonna have todo, I have been putting a ton of time in on my 2000 and running into sequencer glitches like this regularly. The solution for all of them is to reboot the machine. For instance I had a glitch where without quantization the machine would litterally move notes near the very beginning of the sequence to the end. With all the glitches I've encountered, rebooting fixes them all. If its persistent then definitely re copy the OS to the flash memory. But for now rebooting should fix the problem, or any others like this you encounter with the sequencer.

Definitely, and no problem. The first time my sequencer started to glitch I thought "oh no is my machine slowly decaying?!" just wanted ease any fears that something is seriously wrong with it.

Yeah i cant lie thats the first thing that came to mind. When i first bought it my down arrow key wasnt working 9 times out of 10 and i was like **** did i do the right thing going to hardware. Nothing some Deoxit couldnt fix and now im completly happy. The workflow and results overshadow all the small details like glitches.

Yeah I had the same thing with my down arrow, and thought the same thing. Now all I worry about is turning it on one day and getting the dreaded lines of death on the screen, I'll definitely be grabbing a replacement when they drop. I too am glad i switched to older hardware for production as well once I got over the differences, and realized the machine wasn't going to fall apart at any moment
