2500 fixable problem?.

many top producers like The Alchemist. This machine is working, but there is a problwm with it hence the low price. You need to turn the unit on approx 4 to 5 times to get it to sample and play back properly. I don't know why it does this, I bought it second hand a couple of years ago and it has always done this. It may be a chip that is damged, but what happens is that on the first few times you turn it on it comes on, but if you try recording or playing back then it makes a hissing noise and cuts out. Once it has been turned on and off a few times then it works fine and never cuts out or hisses while you are working on it. This could probably be fixed, I have never tried, I have always just turned it on and off a few times before starting work on musi

Is this a common problem with the 2500?

I dont know about the ground... it wouldn't disapear after turning off and on a bunch of times.... maybe a bad capacitor that isn't working until it gets juice a few times?

Ground wire doesn't make any logical sense. Possible instability in the power supply. Bad cap or something perhaps. Send em to VST or Forat. They will get it sorted out.

Sounds like capacitor on your PSU is going bad
