Of course:

- A purge function for unused samples;
- Being able to load legacy projects;
- Being able to write directly on hardware;
- MPC asking user if he/she wants to overwrite or create a new sample from the time stretched version of a sample (without having to manually copy the sample beforehand every time!);
- Step editing;
- Being able to bypass an effect;
- Etc.

In short, the legendary MPC workflow (as they say themselves), and all the features they promised.

But how about being able to simply do "Command + O" (for MACs) or "Control + O" (for PCs) to open projects? Why on earth is this not available? Why do we have to open a folder, and double-click on a project every time we want to work on it?

SIMPLE STUFF!

when chopping the sample in other DAWS such as Maschine, when the auto chop is on you are able to play the pads how they would sound with a "one shot" sound. therefore it's easier to tell how the chops would be. as of now Maschine's chop capabilities are better but hopefully next update will counteract that.

INSTRUMENTS

Up to 6 simultaneous instruments (including mixer) or upgrade with the '16 Instrument Tracks' in-app purchase, particularly recommended for newer devices.

'Eden', a powerful 16 voice subtractive synth with dual oscillators, 2 pole resonant filter, 3 envelope generators and 4 LFO's per voice and 2 dedicated insert effects. Eden's virtual patchbay lets you hook up almost anything for modulation mayhem.

The 'TRG-16', a performance pad for triggering samples. Adjust pitch, pan, volume and envelopes and assign each sample to one of the 3 output busses, each with its own effect sends and filter setup.

SAMPLING

Record samples with the built-in mic (iPod Touch requires external mic), resample NanoStudio's own output or upload your own samples using NanoSync for OS X/Windows. Edit your samples using NanoStudio's built-in wave editing tools (with multiple undo/redo) and process them offline with custom effects chains.

SEQUENCER

Record performances in real-time using the keys and trigger pads or create patterns and controller sweeps by drawing them in the piano roll editor. Arrange your patterns into a complete song using the track editor. You can edit while the song is playing and every operation has multiple undo/redo.

MASTERING

Nanostudio's mixer has 2 global effects sends, 4 insert effects per channel and you can record, edit and playback all your fader and pan changes. When you're ready to share your mix with others you can upload it direct to SoundCloud or use NanoSync to copy the exported .wav file to your Mac/PC.

EFFECTS

NanoStudio's reverb, compressor, parametric EQ, waveshaper, delay, chorus, and bitcrusher effects are all highly optimized so you can run lots of them.

Not sure if this has been suggested, but I think a better song mode. This song mode is good if you want to create a quick track, but you can't edit anything while the song is playing so it seems kinda pointless at times.

Since the Ren is using the best of both worlds you should be able to use any sequence at anytime and be able to stack them on top of each other. Instead of only next to each other. Something similar to FL Studio.

3 knobs on upper right need upgrading very shakey ,especially the Main vol knob. I'm on my 3rd Ren, first 2 vol knobs crackled. The Q-Link knobs are way more sturdy. Give em a wiggle very flimsy. Any upgrades in the works? Thx
p.s. lucky my dealer let's me exchange them as many times as I need to :!:

What about an extra processor box with integrated ram and a cpu so that the Ren can be used also stand alone ? This should be possible...The OS in the extra box should only work as an regular MPC. Only load samples, some effects, sequencer etc. no Vsts. So the REN is really hybrid :)

id really like an MPC2000XL mode/OS for those of us who dont like the workflow of the MPC60 or 30 or whatever this OS is based on.

i dont like a lot of features of this MPC and really feel it gets in the way....

i have to say ive not been as creative on it as i was with the 2000XL and i know thats a features thing...

its clunky, complicated and needs to be simplified for some of us...

things like pitching a whole program, loading a program as poly (why is it ALWAYS mono????) and file browsing/saving is complicated and simply shouldnt be.

disappointed in this sorry.....

Should be done with a Windows 8 Tablet but Zoom and Zone edit will become a torture with a tactile device and even with a Less than 17' display ^^° :)
.. but right they should develop a linux OS based, a Barebone "Standalone" box, it could be dope for live. I'm a lucky user with a 24' display then zooming or selecting 3-4 Pad to "edit multiple" ain't a sniper exploit for me...

- Little feature submission : In browser when selecting a sample, the right arrow should be shortcuted to Play. Function button are a bit far from the Jog Dial and arrows :)

And again alternate loop as ping-pong, faded loop etc.. + Sample start offset assignable to q-link ( Dope if hitting a pad in note repeat with 1/64 sets and going triggers trough the sample with Q-Link or Automations) Bbbbbrrrrrraaaaaaahhhhhh wwhhhhhhaaaaaaaatttt tttthhhhheeeeee fffffiuuuuuccccckkkkkk... like a time trash and grungy time strectching in fact.. Sure u know wadamin :)

another thing i can't stand about mpc is not be able to sidechain, hope this time it will.

i know it's silly but the graphic i've seen is awful, i hope the final version will be nicer

the weird mpc poliphony is ok by me, finally i love the mpc sound, but sure on pc it will be implemented

chopshoo 2 oh the 5k sucks, hope it finally gonna be as precise as recycle

It sidechains in Logic Pro 9

Allow us to save the following in a template:
*Vintage Mode used
*Send return setting [EDIT -Just found out that this setting doesn't save at all with ANY project]
*Default screen layout

Not much to ask for really.

Oh, by the way, obviously I want a bunch of more important stuff but most if not all has already been mentioned already.
