I'm interested in building my own midi controller and definitely want to incorporate these versatile pads/faders (pressure, velocity, etc). Specifically the touch fader parts. Or possibly something even more sensitive like the led touch faders on the akai max 49, because I've used a Quneo and it takes a bit of pressure to move their faders.
The quneo sensors are etched onto the PCB itself. You can't buy those. You just design them into the circuit board.
Those touch faders are probably just something along these lines (first example I could find)

That qunexus looks sweet.
All of their products look even more awesome to me now that I know they can do hardware MIDI. (with the expander box).
Hardware MIDI is dead simple to do with the Arduino. Which means infinitely customizable MIDI handling, even beyond what it can currently do.
The CV feature of the qunexus looks awesome. Perhaps it could then be a midi-cv converter, as if it didn't have enough functionality already?
I might consider getting one. Got a birthday coming up anyway, and nothing really in mind now that (so I heard) the volcas' release date was pushed back...
