Hi guys!
I am into hip hop music for more than a decade now. I did some songs a long time ago. Then I went on hiatus - school, work and other sh*t (laziness mainly)...
Now I'm 26 and I miss rapping and making beats a lot. I want to do it again, and I want it badly. I would like to produce my music mainly via hardware 'coz I already spend too much time in front of a computer in my work and during my studies.
So my questions are:
1. Is MPC enough to make beats from scratch to the end?
2. If not - what other equipment do I need?
3. Which MPC do U recommend to start with? (so I won't need to upgrade too soon)
I already have Roland SP-404 but for some unknown reason I don't like to work with it...
From what I've read on the Web my main choice would be 2500 or 4000. It looks like these two models are the most recommended.
Merry Christmas
Hamsta G.
