Hello,
I have 2 questions regarding this subject:
1. Is all the music before and right after WW2 in this 432 Hz?
2. I dont understand what you have to do to get samples in 432 HZ. Pitch them 5 cemtitones down? What does that mean? Zone pitch the sample to -00.05?
1. The history dates very far back, ancient cultures (Sumerians, Greek, Egyptian), in India (where one of our the oldest religion comes from (Hinduism) this tone is refereed to as the father of all others and the sitar is tuned to this frequency.
Most classical music by Bach, Brahms and Verdi is composed in 432, but there are compositions that are composed at different tunings (there´s even even a famous classical composition (forget which one) that was intentionally composed at 440 ... of cores people are free to tune their instruments as they like .. so its not like everything is in 432 before WW2 but this had been our standard for 6000 years ..
This standard is the C 512Hz or 256 Hz octave lower or the C at exactly 1 vibration per second, the so-called "ground-tone". This mood is also called "science mood" because this mood conforms scientifically with the universe. The oldest known advocate of this vote is Plato.
Then all of a sudden in the 1900 we tune it to 440 (AND MUSICIANS EVERYWHERE OPPOSED THIS!) but it was forced on by group of power hungry psychopaths...
So its quite ironic to hear brain washed musician oppose this today .. (they have no basis for it other than>> its a nu-age witch!! ... lets burn it!!
Jimmy Hendrix was know to tune his guitar a little lower than the standard 440 (he did it by ear/feel).. and his music not only rocks but has a much fantastic vibe.. compared this vibe with the sound other modern artist..
the 432 is our natural state
2. if the sample is originally in 440 then yes its -00.05 cents confirmed by FunckyDrops but maybe the sample your working with is tuned differently (?)
This is not something holy, I was tuning my 4 OSC modular the other day to 432 and melodic line sounded better with two of the OSC de-tuned a bit higher, the other two OSC´s where set to 432 .. so by all means go by your own instinct and feel... if you feel 440 is doing it for you go with that ...
the remix I´m working on right now I tuned everything down by 00.05 cents ... and I just can´t get over the vibe that little tuning did for the remix.. its dare I say it magical ..
Unlike crypto-reptiloid shills like you, I am proud to be a mammal and drink real milk from a mammary gland.![]()
@Feline please focus on the topic at hand and not silly commentary this is not about frikking milk or labeling me as criptiod and you as mammal... & one mans fungus is another mans spiritual connection,.. you don´t need mushrooms to tell this is real just start composing a few tunes in 432 and see how it goes ..no one is forcing you to do anything, what do you have to lose?
now I can only speak for myself but the stuff that I´ve been doing in 432 has great attraction .. I can listen forever to loops from my modular when tuned to 432... there´s something very right about the feel of it .. its more peaceful and (I dont know what the right word is...) balanced(?) ... you intelligent enough to realize things from an independent state of mind.. so don´t just rub this off as some nu-age bs just because you are who you are... I´m not your enemy.. I´m merely showing you something that imo is of great importance to all musicians... if you just want troll and fight take it to another thread..
And just get simple things like: you might want to tune to 440 to get a certain mood once in a while but why on earth would the world standard be to tune to 440> there is no sense behind that at all! only distortion .. its more stress full and not as pleasant and it takes away 4 overtones .. its like why would you tune a radio with perfect signal connection to a connection where the signal is not as strong? ... take a wild guess....
