I have 4 large song stems that i would like to chop around with and make some programs from each stem then just have fun with them. The problem is i'm not quite sure how you go about chopping the sample with extreme flexibility, as far as i am aware i only have the option to chop up to 16 equal parts or use the chop shop option.

I don't mind using something like ableton but i am trying to find the most efficient solution.

Can you give me some suggestions or how you might go about this?

thanks

JJOSXL NDC, but you are not using JJOS are you? Its been so long I can not remember exactly how to, but you can change the number of chops. Make sure stems start exactly on the start of the music bar. Some do not do this and have space at the start.
It is in the manual and it can go to 32 if i remember right, hell maybe 64 even.
When it is chopped make new program of that chopped sample.
If you want flexibility you need JJOS NDC.

chop in REAPER -> export each slice automatically as 16bit wav -> load your slices in the mpc -> have fun!
