Hey again all, well I got an issue here maybe someone can give me a hand?
Basically I've had the Roland xp 80 for a few weeks now and upon trying to record Midi (midi!!! Not audio!!!!!!!!) I've encountered a midi feedback issue where my input is feeding my output which is feeding my input etc and causes either cubase to crash or forces me to set up the cubase inputs to record midi and then turn off the input an turn on the output to hear my recorded notes.
Also when recording on midi channel two it is also recording the data being played back from channel one into channel twos note lane, and its the same for all following midi channels.(sorry I I'm not explaining it too well)
I've tried turning of the local (keys to internal sounds, this is what I was advised to do) so that it's running purely from external input, or so I believe? But as I do want to play the notes in using the keys but have the freedom to edit them later, otherwise I'd record straight to the 2kxl. Im gonna stop because I'm losing track myself now lol... But feel free to ask questions and I hope someone has some experience with the xp series because it's quiet counter-intuitive and the manual I little use. I am in perform mode and yes I am well versed in most aspect of digital systems so I assure you it's not just laziness and ignorance lol, I look forward to reading your replies, thanks
