right click a fader in the mixer, click "link to controller" ... now move the fader on the mpk that you want to have assigned to that fader.

if you want this to stay that way for more then just that one project... instead, right click a fader in the mixer... choose "overwrite generic link" and move the desired fader.

right click the record button (next to play at the top) and make sure "automation" is checked... audio is for audio, score is for playing notes on the keys, and automation is for faders and knobs that you want to automate.

okay, i dont get it. How do i sequence it and stuff? like how the people on youtube make beats? messing around with the hi hat and claps first then kicks, samples and etc?

after you do what I said.. click record so it turns orange... then click play.. it will count in and begin recording what ever you push. I suggest doing this in pattern mode..

do you know how to make a normal beat in FL without using any recording? it's the same thing except instead of clicking in notes, you are recording them by ear with the keys.

automation I suggest doing in song mode though... just saying. you can then cut up the automation clips, copy them, alter them... etc.

Click the help menu and read the help file for more info... it gives step by step instructions and it shows pics of the things you need to click.
