I have an M-Audio Delta 1010 card and its great!!! :D 8 ins 8 outs s/pdif in and out, midi in and out, and word clock which is no good for mpc being it uses smpte. you can also combine up to 4 of these cards to have up to 32 ins and outs. i'm waiting for my 8 outs for the mpc so i can start using it with Sonar. Iight man good luck. I don't recommand fire wire unless you got a newer computer, stay with pci.

The MPC4000 has an ADAT option. I would use that and go straight into a $150 PC ADAT card (or in my case, directly into a ADAT capable hard disk recording system). May be cheaper too. ~$150 ADAT card, $350 MPC ADAT option = ~$500.
